I have been a loyal and happy customer of USAA for over 10 years. In this time i have refereed several family members and friends who have chosen to go with this bank for their insurance and or banking.
I have a good credit score.
I have not missed payments on my insurance or credit cards.
I have not had an NSF
I would say i was an excellent customer.
Recently i have had 2 checks in the last two months place on hold. Weird i thought i wonder why. I let the first one go. This second on has now become a huge thorn and has frustrated me. I see no reason why my check was placed on hold as i am a perfect and loyal customer. It felt like a slap in the face from your best friend. In my dealings on the phone and via e-mail i am not getting an answers on why this is happening. I just get a cut and paste reply from the USAA bank policies. I am told its for my protection. Really? I work hard for my money and now i have to wait over a week to get my money i earned. I have bills bouncing back and have had to dip into savings and put more money on my credit cards. I have asked several times for a reason and still no reason back. I would really love to know why so i can avoid this at all costs. I would recommend you seriously reconsider if you are thinking of doing business with this bank. It looks like they are getting too big and are loosing that award winning customer service.

So this is the reply i am getting, nothing really helping me to avoid this in the future. I keep asking for specific reasons and im not getting any help from these guys. Oh and wow, would they really put a hold on cash????
